- Course objectives
- The course follows the course Introduction to Legal Theory and Practice. Includes basic theoretical approaches, concepts, institutions and legal mechanisms of administrative law in the Czech Republic. The most important legal means provided by the Czech rule of law for the achievement of the objectives, functions, methods and forms of activities of State administration are explained in more detail. The main emphasis is put on the interpretation of the course of an administrative procedure and its importance in the public administration. The most attention is paid to the decision, which is the result of the administrative procedure. The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge utilizable in every area of public administration. Study Outcomes: The acquisition of competence for the interpretation of the standards of administrative law. Professional Knowledge: Acquisition of knowledge of general legal regulation of the public administration, in particular the basic knowledge about the course of administrative proceedings in the first instance and on ways of interpreting legal norms. Professional skills: The capability of basic interpretation of the standards of administrative law. General Qualification: Students will acquire basic theoretical knowledge in the field of administrative law and public administration activities in this area, as well as basic practical knowledge about the action, conduct and decision in the administrative procedure. Competences: Students can evaluate the situation in the field of public administration. In a reasonable form in terms of their competence, they take care for processed the cases in order not to make them result in an administrative tort. Is able to proceed properly in the review of an administrative decision and in administrative execution.

- The condition for obtaining credit is attendance at the classes and in consultations.
A written test for the validation of the acquired theoretical knowledge (general questions and terminology, institutes of the administrative proceedings of the first instance).
The instructor will notify the students on the topics that have not been fully lectured for them to seek in the compulsory literature or at the e-learning site.
