- Course objectives
- The course is aimed at acquainting the students with comprehensive nursing care for patients suffering from internal diseases. The course describes clinical medicine basis and nursing care for patients suffering from internal diseases. Having finished the course, the students will have good grasp of the issues of nursing care for patients suffering from internal diseases.

- 1. Characteristics of internal nursing care, particularities of nursing process in internal medicine, individual stages of nursing process from the perspective of internal nursing.
2. Fundamentals of pharmacotherapy in internal medicine.
3. Nursing care for patients with respiratory system diseases.
4. Nursing care for patients with circulatory system diseases.
5. Nursing care for patients with venous diseases.
6. Nursing care for patients with arterial diseases.
7. Nursing care for patients with lymphatic system diseases.
8. Nursing care for patients with gastrointestinal system diseases.
9. Nursingcare for patients with liver, gall bladder, biliary tract and pancreas diseases.

Information on the extent and intensity of the course: Přednáška 4 HOD/SEM, Seminář 5 HOD/SEM. - Teacher's information
- The contact instruction is implemented through the system of tutorials on selected topics. The combined part of the studies is implemented in the e-learning course environment at e-portal http://elearning.fvp.slu.cz/. The students have study supports including correspondence tasks available for instruction there. The course is concluded by a credit in written or oral form; within it, the student will demonstrate knowledge of basic and recommended reading and be able to discuss the processed correspondence tasks. The student will have the opportunity to consult individually the topics studied, through individual or group tutorials or electronic mail.
Credit requirements:
Draft of nursing plan for a patient with a selected internal disease.
Written test with cut-off score: 80 %.
