Course objectives
The exercises deal with differential calculus for functions of several real variables.
Syllabus
  • 1. Elements of topology of n-dimensional Euclidean space, norm and normed space.
    2. Differential calculus for functions of several variables: limit and continuity of functions of several variables, partial and directional derivative, total differential, differentiation of implicite functions.
    3. Extrema of functions of several variables: extrema on open and compact sets, method of Lagrange multiplicators.
