outside their organizations. Management is an unpredictable process. Making the
right decision is often difficult, and even successful managers often make
mistakes. Managers try to find ways to improve their companies´ performance. Therefore,
the subject of management is focused on gaining basic knowledge of management
issues, including current trends for a broader application of managerial
principles.
The content focus of
the course is based on the needs of organizations to be organized, managed and
achieve the desired goals. Therefore, the course combines the historical
development and stages of management with an emphasis on organizational
structure, behaviour, analysis of the environment and focus on individuals,
groups and teams in the organization. The international dimension and cultural
differences are also considered.
