- Course objectives
- The lecture is devoted to study the evolution of prehistoric settlement forms in human history, with special focus on the situation in Central Europe, and especially in the Czech Republic. In the introduction, the students will be familiar with the importance of settlements in prehistoric times as their basic typological division. Another interpretation focuses mainly on the following topics: the first dwelling in the Paleolithic and their importance; Long Ball aboveground structures on Neolithic settlements; circular objects in the young Neolithic and their occurrence in other periods of prehistory, the first fort in Eneolith; absence of settlements in some cultures the end Eneolith; settlement and settlement objects of the Bronze Age, a fortified hilltop settlement of the Bronze Age; iconic objects from the Middle Bronze Age and the Urnfield period, a fortified settlement neopevněná Hallstatt period; fortification basic types of buildings, types of residential buildings in Hallstatt, outbuildings and bronze Hallstatt.
