Prerequisites
The basic premise is the passing of the four semesters of the Latin language, during which a student learn fundamentals of the Latin morphology and syntax, learn to work independently, with the help of the dictionary are easier foreign-language text.

Course objectives
The seminar follows with the previous lessons of Latin language. It aims at practical translations of middle ages Latin texts - documentary material, chronicles, literary pieces. In the frame of the seminar students also meet basic grammar, stylistic features and vocabulary, which are for classical and middle ages literature different. Translations are completed with information about a certain author, the time when they lived and the character of the particular text - see the list of the literature.
