Course objectives
Students will learn the basic concepts of film art, film language, types and genres of film, historical overview of film versions of literary works, the principles of film adaptations of literary works , the types of rewriting, screenplay. The seminars will be devoted to a detailed analysis of specific films and comparison with literary works.

Teacher's information
Credit is awarded based on:
1. Active participation in the seminar (one absence is permitted).
2. Completion of the course paper (printed version must be delivered 14 days before term of assessment).
3. Knowledge of the desired literary model and its film adaptation and the ability to comparison of these works..
4. List of viewed movies and read books.
5. Completion of the final oral or written exam (including an analysis of films which student watched).
