Course objectives
The goal is to build a classical theory of electromagnetic field in an inductive way. The course is completed by formulation of Maxwell equations and by derivation their basic consequences.

Teacher's information
The exam is both written and oral. The written part of the exam consists of four problems, the time for solution is 120 minutes. Each problem is scored with 0-5 points, the maximum of 20 points thus can be obtained. The problems are drawn from the mandatory textbook, or from the types of problems that have been addressed by the tutorials.
To proceed to the oral part, the student must obtain at least 10 points in the written part. Failure to comply with this condition is evaluated by the degree F. Otherwise, the student will draw one test question (each of 12 questions contains two topics so that cumulated difficulty of both is roughly constant). The answer to each question is scored by 0-5 points. Before the debate with the examiner the student has 10 minutes for preparation.
The test results are classified on the basis of the sum of the written and oral tests (hence, the maximum is 30 points).
