Course objectives
The course provides students with focused training for application in practice after completing the study program, in cultural and historical facilities and in tourism with a focus on cultural tourism in accordance with the profile of the graduate. The aim of the internship is to enable students to practice and deepen the acquired theoretical knowledge, equip them with the skills needed to perform activities and provide individual services in the field of leisure activities and tourism with a focus on the presentation and education of cultural history / heritage. Completion of the internship contributes to personal and professional development, acquisition of the necessary competencies and greater motivation of students to apply the acquired knowledge and skills from teaching in a real facility and thus increase their applicability in the labor market. Professional practice II is organized as continuous, in the extent of 3 weeks in contractually secured facilities. It typically takes place in facilities that provide or organize leisure activities with a focus on cultural tourism and with demand for culturally historical leisure, animation and educational products (tourist information centers, travel agencies, cultural facilities), spa, recreational and accommodation facilities, in selected social care facilities with educational, presentation and leisure programs (homes for the elderly, etc.). The student applies his theoretical knowledge and skills acquired by completing Professional Practice I. Participates in the preparation and implementation of more complex products of cultural and cultural-historical focus (tours, trips, animation programs, thematic walks and lectures), independently prepares simpler products, provides consulting services . The internship takes place under the methodical guidance of a cooperating expert from practice / institution (mentor) and under the supervision of the head of practice (supervisor). The student keeps a written diary about the course of practice. The knowledge acquired during the internship is verified in the form of an oral discussion.
