Course objectives
The aim of the lectures is to introduce students to the range of issues protohistorical two stages of development in contemporary state formation Czech Republic. Due to the position of matter at the border between archeology and history is necessary to clarify the methodological problems associated with the different approaches of individual disciplines. Special attention deserves the polarity of relationships critical entities of the then world, Mediterranean civilization represented by the Roman Empire and the barbarians, to whom were former residents of the monitored area. Monitored the material culture of indigenous population and also imports, using the orientation in chronology and dating. Accentuating the key issues of domestic developments (for example, the issue of the beginnings of the Roman period in the Czech basin, time Marcomanni wars in South Moravian area, archaeological picture of the Migration Period).
