- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to focus on the problems of physical and social handicaps and their influence on the personality in case of the library user. Specific groups (communities) of disabled or disadvantaged users in terms of the nature of disability/disadvantage, requirements for specific treatment and services are introduced. Attention is also focused on the legislative process of work with disabled and disadvantaged people in libraries.

Criteria for examination:
Oral debate over the key concepts of services for specific library users' categories.
The prerequisite of the examination is to write an essay on a selected topic (of the subject matter) in the range of 5 standard pages using at least 5 vocational sources properly cited in the text, which will be sent electronically teacher in the credit week. After consultation with the teacher an additional term beyond the specified examination period can be set.
