Course objectives
The aim of the course is to supplement the students' knowledge with current topics in the field of information technology and IS/IT management. Students are introduced to the principles of IS development project management and IS/IT operation management in the enterprise (IT service management according to ITIL concept). The acquired knowledge will be applied by graduates in IT professions: project manager of IS development, manager of IS/IT department manager in a company at various levels of management, IS/IT security manager, etc. The training is focused on deepening knowledge, current trends, current events in IS.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to orientate himself in the field of IS management in the company, he will know what competencies a manager has, what constitutes the field of IT service management according to the ITIL concept, what competencies a security manager has and what the current trends are.

  • 1. IS/IT project management, basic concepts.
  • 2. Project organization and planning.
  • 3. Project execution, managing scope, time and cost.
  • 4. Project documentation and methodologies.
  • 5. IS/IT operations management in the enterprise, basic concepts.
  • 6. IT service management according to the ITIL concept.
