Course objectives
The aim of the course is to widen the knowledge of the students of the employment of information technologies and information systems in the field of tourism. The students will get acquainted with the practical usage of information systems in tourism (booking systems, GIS). They will learn how to use the Internet efficiently, to work with electronic map, to look up transport connection, on-line reservations and purchase orders, and to use the browsers specialised in tourism. The students will learn the basics of HTML language and will be able to create internet presentation to be published on the Internet using WYSIWYG editor.

  • 1. Information systems (GIS) in tourism
    2. Providing information, reservation and sales services, requirements on technical and software equipment specific for tourism
    3. Use of the Internet for reservation and purchase order services
    4. Development and publishing of self-created WWW presentation
