Repeat and extend students' knowledge of some current problems in the study of the early Middle Ages.

  • First Slavs in the Odra, Elbe and the Baltic States
    1/ Second Eastern Slavs and Kievan Rus
    2/ Contacts Slavs and Vikings
    3/ Slavs in Pannonia and south of the Alps
    4/ Priwinův Zalavár and his contacts with Great Moravia
    5/ Old Croatian principalities around Knin
    6/ Basic characteristics of villages and agricultural production
    7/ Basic characteristics of the fort and its role
    8/ Basic characteristics crafts - ceramics, wood processing, textiles, etc.
    9/ Ceramic production in the Rhineland in the 8th - 12th century
    10/ Ves in Western Europe
    11/ A fortified settlement, rebate and the beginnings of cities in Western Europe
