Course objectives
The course deals with the origin, the limits of digital recording, reconstruction, distribution and transmission of 3D optical image, both stereoscopic image and a holographic image. The course includes practical exercises.
Syllabus
  • - Optical basics of 3D perception, e.g. binokular vision principles.
    - Methods for recording and playback of stereoscopic 3D image (from anaglyph, to passive and active imaging).
    - The principles, characteristics and basic methods of holography.
    - Basics of digital holography - recording and digital image reconstruction.
    - Contemporary state of stereoscopic and holographic technique.
    - In the exercise making of own 3D stereoscopic anaglyph 3D photos, as well as making short 3D video (film) based on own recordings made by our 3D camera.
