Course objectives
One-semester course is to familiarize students comprehensively with the problems the Linear Pottery culture in the Czech and Polish Silesia in the context of the settlement of this culture in Europe.

  • 1 / Definition of Silesia and the character of its natural environment. The history of research, the current state of knowledge.
    2 / Territorial extension, chronology and periodization of the Linear Pottery culture.
    3 / Senior level Linear Pottery culture in Silesia ( housing development, research, findings, interpretations, literature).
    4 / Intermediate Linear Pottery culture in Silesia ( housing development , research, findings, interpretations , literature).
    5 / Junior level Linear Pottery culture in Silesia ( housing development, research , findings, interpretations, literature).
    6 / Ceramics Linear Pottery culture (technology, morphology, decoration, symbolic meaning)
    7 / Stone industry ( cut, split , others), in terms of technology and typology. Main sources and distribution of stone materials .
