- Course objectives
- The course presents heraldry as a part of cultural heritage and one of the basic auxiliary historical sciences that deals with coats of arms, respectively seals, both after the formal art, primarily in terms of their development and the social function of history and the present. Analysis of the major and minor components of coat of arms, most heraldic figures, as well as external and internal characteristics of seals, including the basics of correct heraldic description (blasonry ) and Sphragistics terminology .
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to: - use basic concepts from heraldry and auxiliary historical sciences - identify and describe coats of arms and emblems - identify and describe different types of seals
