Course objectives
The aim is to provide students with a text to study and understand the issues that will certainly be confronted by those who will require a service from an administrative body, e.g. to apply for a benefit in the field of social policy at a workplace of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic, a district social security administration or an application to any of the offices of a territorial self-governing unit, e.g. the trade licensing office for the issuance of a business permit.
Learning outcomes
The content material of the study support includes information on broader issues in the system of separation of powers in the state, i.e. the power of state administration bodies in decision-making and protection of public interest towards the participants in administrative proceedings, as well as in the framework of delegation of certain activities of the state to public corporations, legal and natural persons as well as self-government to participate in the administration of public affairs, as well as a discussion of the forms of regulation of administrative relations in administrative law. Attention is also paid to the position of the addressees of administrative proceedings, their actions in terms of rights and legal obligations and, last but not least, procedural responsibility in these proceedings. A separate part of the study aid is an explanation of the legal regulation of administrative proceedings.
