Prerequisites
FAKULTA(FVP) && TYP_STUDIA(B) && FORMA(P) && UVSRPCP062 English III
An intermediate knowledge of the English language and a history of secondary school courses or individual courses, as well as of the CP062/CK062 courses) are expected. Actively participating in the seminars, students will further improve their language skills in everyday situations and profession-related settings both in written and spoken form.
Further requirements: preparation for seminars (individual presentations), active participation in discussion, submission of an independent assignment (translation).

Course objectives
Study Outcomes: The course aims at developing students´ ability to actively, fluently and correctly express themselves in everyday situations and field-specific situations related to their field of study. The course also aims to facilitate reading comprehension in respective areas, to foster active utilization of the English language and to develop translation skills. Conversations within the course help build cross-language communication skills based on awareness of lexical, terminological, grammatical and stylistic relations.

    2. Civil law and its terminology.
    3. Criminal law and misdemeanours. Minor offences. Courts and court proceedings.
    4. Administrative law. Administrative bodies. Bureaucracy. Vital statistics and records. Registrars. Citizens.
    5. Forms, applications, administrative terminology. Curriculum vitae. The language of written documents.
    6. The ombudsperson.
    7. Psychology and allied sciences. Psychological theories and related terminology. Psychological dictionaries.
    8. Personality psychology and developmental psychology. Cognition, learning, memory and emotions.
    9. Clinical psychology. Psychotherapy. Counselling.
    10. Social psychology. Theories, experiments and applications.
    11. Social groups and aggregates. Crowds.
    12. Revision (legal and psychological terminology).
    13. Comprehensive revision. Complex work with a specialized English text. Feedback testing.
