Course objectives
This course builds on Cognitive Development Seminar I, introducing students to other ways of creating and enhancing an individual's cognitive modifiability. It supports students' cognitive development in a practical way, and in this part it focuses in particular on: accurate perception, spatial organization, retention and constancy, precision and accuracy, visual transfer, summarization, suppression of impulsivity, and elimination of trial-and-error behavior.
Learning outcomes
Development of deficit cognitive functions. Acquisition of basic ideas, names and operations. Creating motivation through habits. Creating motivation in the midst of tasks. Creating insight and reflective thinking. Developing active learning. Specifically developing in the areas of: - Selection of important, relevant information and the ability to disregard irrelevant information, - behavioural planning, awareness of steps leading to solutions, - broad mental field.
Syllabus
  • The subject is entirely practical in nature. Students work in individual sessions with worksheets (instruments) and actively participate in the activity and discussions.

Assessment methods
By its nature, the course requires regular class attendance and participation in group discussion. The output is an appropriate proportion of completed worksheets and active participation of students in class.
