Course objectives
The aim of the Professional Practice I is to present the principles, principles and organization of work in a selected facility (school club, low-threshold facility for children and youth). Students will learn how to lead free time activities and apply the knowledge gained in the field of group leadership, setting pedagogical goals, choosing and implementing methods and forms of work with children and youth, with respect to pedagogical and psychological patterns of children and youth development. Students will learn to respond to current needs of children or problem situations. The aim is to prepare the student to be able to independently prepare and implement educational, eventually. leisure program and then carry out its evaluation.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes: Expertise: They will learn the basic terminology used in this area, including didactic. Professional skills: The student will be able to design and implement a leisure program and activities primarily non-specific primary prevention for children or young people, taking into account their developmental specifics including self-evaluation. General eligibility: The student is able to orientate in the offer of facilities dealing with leisure time of children and youth. They will learn to communicate with the target group taking into account its developmental peculiarities.
Syllabus
  • Professional practice consists of own professional practice and seminar. Seminar: - Reflection of their experience of individual facilities - methodical guidance of students in preparation for direct work with children, - extending theoretical knowledge and, in particular, practical experience - application of non-specific primary prevention of risk behavior in individual types of facilities, - Analysis of the selected problem solving procedure 1. Introduction to practice. 2. Content of practice - job description and target group. 3. Methodology of gaming and practice activities. 4. Possibilities of primary prevention of risk behavior (non-specific and specific) in individual types of facilities. 5. Continuous preparation of activities in practice (time allocation, structure and content of the preparation, work with the group) 6. Possibilities of solving non-standard situations. 7. Analysis and evaluation of implemented practices.
