Course objectives
he objective of the "Wellbeing" course is to provide students with a deeper understanding of concepts related to mental and physical health, stress management, and relaxation techniques. The course focuses on the practical acquisition of skills necessary for maintaining personal wellbeing and balance in daily life. Students will learn various stress management strategies, relaxation, and meditation techniques, and how to apply these techniques in both professional and personal contexts.
The course complements and enriches knowledge gained from other psychological disciplines, particularly in the fields of health psychology and positive psychology. The skills acquired will be valuable to students in both academic settings and their future professional practice, where they can help prevent burnout and promote overall health.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge of Stress Management Techniques: Students will learn and be able to apply various stress management and relaxation techniques.
Ability to Perform Relaxation Exercises: Students will be able to independently practice relaxation and meditation techniques that contribute to their personal wellbeing.
Application of Self-care: Students will be able to create a self-care plan and maintain life balance, which they can implement in their daily lives.
Reflection and Self-assessment: Students will be able to reflect on their experiences and evaluate the effectiveness of the techniques and strategies they have applied.
Syllabus
  • ntroduction to Wellbeing: Definition and importance of wellbeing, its impact on overall health and quality of life.
  • Stress Management: Theoretical foundations of stress, techniques, and strategies for managing stress (e.g., mindfulness, breathing exercises, relaxation).
  • Relaxation and Meditation: Practical exercises and techniques for relaxation and meditation, including guided meditations and relaxation practices.
  • Self-care and Life Balance: Practical tools for self-care, creating and maintaining life balance, and planning personal development.
  • Practical Applications: Integrating stress management and relaxation techniques into daily life through simulations and scenarios.
  • Reflection and Sharing Experiences: Sharing personal experiences, reflecting on learned techniques, and discussing their benefits for improving wellbeing.
