Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the system of care for children at risk in the Czech Republic. Special attention is paid to early care, institutional care and foster family care. Students will become familiar with specific strategies and methods that represent innovations in this system. A specific objective is to clarify the issue of risky behavior of children and youth and its prevention in schools.
Learning outcomes
The learner will be able to describe the specifics: The system of care for children at risk in the Czech Republic Early care Institutional care Foster family care Social work in families The learner will be able to apply knowledge about the prevention of risky behavior of children and youth in school. The learner will critically reflect on the setting of the system of care for at-risk children in the country.

Assessment methods
1. Seminar Paper: A prerequisite for being admitted to the final written test is the submission of a seminar paper on a given topic, with a minimum length of 3,600 characters including spaces (i.e., 3 standard pages) and with references to academic sources (according to the citation standard ISO 690:2022). 2. Test: The final written test consists of 10 questions, with a total of 20 points available. To pass successfully, a minimum of 13 points is required.
