Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to selected chapters on gender identity in history, social policy and other concepts, taking into account the history of feminism. Seminars will be devoted to the development of the lecture and discussion of current social problems from the perspective of "gender" in the Czech Republic or in comparison with other countries.

Gender issues in the Czech Republic, gender and wage inequality on the labour market 4. Gender issues abroad 5. Gender construction in the family and society 6. Women's emancipation in Czech countries 7. History of women's movement, feminism 8. Feminist trends, feminism as a social theory 9. Gender as a Social Construction, Gender Identity 10. Gender, policy and law, international treaties and conventions 11. Legislative support for gender equality 12. Final test
