Course objectives
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the position of spas in the health care system as a part of tourism. The course defines the functions spas, its economic, social and regional effects, analyzes the spa in Europe and in the Czech Republic. It provides specific knowledge and skills that qualify students for independent activities and management functions of the spa facilities and distinguish specific services of the spa facilities of standard services in hotels. Students will become familiar with the definition of the concept of spas and natural healing resources. As part of the evaluation and implementation of location conditions spas, exploiting the potential of spa facilities for the development of therapeutic and revitalizing tourism. Students learn how to properly deal with spa clients and respect their health problems in organizing their leisure time.
