- Course objectives
- Course objectives: The objective of the subject is to enlarge the vocabulary with terminology from Tourism and to use in active way knowledge of grammar structure. In seminars the attention is paid on translation of thematically orientated sentences with using the vocabulary and grammatical structures, practising and developing skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in Tourism based on authentic written materials and audio recordings on the level B2. Emphasis is put on precise interception of important information based on listening with concentration on data, time, instructions, prohibition and commands, developing interactive skills at booking tickets, accommodation, arranging insurance, solving complaints; developing complex communicative skills at solving difficult situations and at efficient written communication. The attention is paid especially to professional language preparation of tourist guides, managers of travel agencies and tour operators with marketing and promotional skills together with using the adequate language appropriate to the situations and solving problems in the foreign language in orientation on practice.

- Requirements on student:
The course is finished by the course-credit which the students will gain based on:
1/ 1 ongoing oral test
2/ 1 written ongoing test
3/ term work
4/ final written test.
Students have the possibility to gain up to 100 points as maximum, whereas to gain the course-credit they must achieve at least 60 points. Students who repeat this part of the language do not have the obligation of 60% attendance.
