Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to learn students how to use information in crisis management and then to introduce them in the issue of information support of crisis management. Students will work with selected information support tools that are used in the Czech Republic, such as Riskan, Terex, Aloha, ArcGIS. Students will gain an overview of the possibilities and practical application of individual tools in solving emergencies.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be versed in a functionality of ArcGIS and will be ready for an independent work with spatial data, their basic analyzing and display maps.

    4. Case studies and use of Riskan, Terex, Aloha
    5. Assessing the feasibility of individual software for crisis management
    6. Importance of GIS in crisis management, using ArcGIS
    7. Spatial data and coordinate systems
    8. Attribute table, linking tables and sessions
    9. Symbolism of qualitative and quantitative data
