Course objectives
Students will get acquainted with basic technical terminology and with the historical development of foreign language textbooks. They will be introduced to the issue of methods of evaluation and selection of textbooks suitable for the target group. They will also get acquainted with various catalogs of criteria for critical evaluation of textbooks and their parts. Students will evaluate the individual components of textbooks and textbook files and will also get acquainted with the online support of textbooks. It will focus on the suitability and difficulty of texts, recordings, visual and graphic elements and exercise files.

  • 1. Knowledge of working with text and the role of the textbook in history and in the present, a model of evaluation of the methodological concept of foreign language.
