- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic orientation in the field of processes related to the introduction of information and communication technologies in public administration and social work. Explain the basic terms in the field of digital transformation and increase the professional competence of students in the field of information and data literacy, in the areas of communication and collaboration using digital technologies while complying with legislative regulations and supporting critical thinking, and teach them to work safely in a digital environment. Digital transformation in public administration and information and cyber security will be discussed not only from the point of view of Czech law, but also from the point of view of European law.
- Learning outcomes
- Expertise: The student will acquire and demonstrate knowledge in the field of digital transformation in public administration and social areas, learning to work in this environment while maintaining cyber security. The student will demonstrate knowledge in the field of information and data literacy, gain an overview of applications used in online communications and in the areas of cooperation in the digital environment. The acquired knowledge can be used by students not only in practice, but also in further studies. Professional skills: The student is able to orient himself in the individual processes of computerization of public administration and social work not only on a theoretical level, but also practically.

A general introduction to the use of information technologies in public administration and social areas. 2. eGovernment in the Czech Republic, basic registers, public lists, public registers, electronic collection of laws 3. Basic IS in Public Administration 4. Information and Cyber Security from the Perspective of the Law in European and Czech Law 5. Application of Decree No. 82/2018 Coll., on Security Measures, Cyber Security Incidents 6. Cyberspace and security. 7. Protection of computers, computer networks and mobile devices. Wireless technology. 8. Security when using the services for data transmission and retrieval. Security and data sharing. Access to public sector data. Delegated powers of public administration and data protection. 9. Personal data protection, GDPR regulation. 10. Open data, copyright law. 11. Electronic communication of the office. 12. Offices online. Security and online access to applications. 1. eIDAS Regulation, trust services and electronic identification.
