Course objectives
A target of this subject is understanding of basic definition of aging and old age including its establishment in psychologic theory. A student will orientate in basic characteristics of physical, cognitive and emotional processes by seniors. An attention will be dedicated to an intergenerational relationships, an adaption to old age, a retirement and a incipient loneliness by seniors. Student also will be introduced with a problematics of dying and a death where an emphasis will be put on how to eliminate this taboo (a problem)

  • 1. Aging and age. Basic definition early and right age. Seniors age in psychological theories.
    2. Physical changes in age.
    3. Psychic changes in age. Cognitive changes (sensory perception, attention, memory, abilities -
    intelligence, speech).
    4. Emotional changes. Shame. Self - appraisal as mental representation emotional relation on.
    Personality change.
    5. Adaptation on age. Retirement. Problems institutional care.
    6. Intergenerational relations. Partnership fathers. Bereavement.
    7. Loneliness and fathers.
    8. Problems dying and deaths.
    9. Concept success age and active age.
    10. Psychic disease in age, dementia.

Teacher's information
Contact tuition is led system consultation on select theme over a range of 9 o'clock. Combined section study is based on work in environment e- learning course on e- portále http://elearning.fvp.slu.cz/. For individual consultation selected problem wholes may student exploit individual or group person consultation or consultation via email. U exam subject student will show knowledge obligatory allowances literature, lectures from contact tuition and will show understanding problems discussions above processed selected correspondence office.
Final - test. Student must meet the demands so, so him may be assigned points (% correct answer in test) and of them consequent classification according to undermentioned keys.
