The course consists of two parts. The first part is the work experience proper which in the scope of 120 hours allows students to become familiar with the environment of their possible future profession and to verify through the practice of its performance by the supervisor in the organization their acquired theoretical knowledge, as well as to gain practical experience.Professional work experience extends the opportunity to stimulate the process of identification with the profession in students, providing students with opportunity to capture the managing, methodological, conceptual and analytical work, including the skills of project activities and direct work with clients.Through interactive discussions and experiential learning activities in this course, students will realize the pitfalls of working in helping professions and public administration as well as reasons why workers in helping professions and public administration fail at their work.Students also familiarize themselves with practical demonstrations of supervision interviews and coaching approaches, especially in group. At the seminars, the greatest attention is paid to the need for the supervision of aiding professionals, creation of contracts and supervision interviews so that students are familiar with them and able to prepare supervision in their organization together with a supervisor or a coach.
The second necessary part of the course are supervision seminars at the faculty.Students are to participate in these seminars regularly, discuss problems they themselves or their colleagues encountered during their work experience with their instructor and seek possible solutions.
