After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:
- to apply theoretical knowledge in professional practice using modern information and communication technologies;
- to use methods and tools for maintenance and operation of library-information systems, methodology of information needs analysis, basic information search strategies, and ways of mediating information and knowledge to users;
- to communicate in English, with emphasis on using professional/field-specific English;
- based on a broadly defined task, to solve specific professional problems in the field of informatics, philology, or a combination of these fields;
- to acquire information needed to solve problems, and if necessary, additional knowledge and skills that can help solve the problem;
- to schedule work among team members in a group, synchronize the work of team members and communicate during collaboration, merge partial results of individual team members into a functional whole;
- to clearly present both one's own results and the results of the entire team;
- to further develop communication skills in both native language and at least one foreign language;
- to independently further develop one's professional knowledge and skills, reflect on developments especially in the fields of informatics and philology, maintain contact with the latest findings and development trends.
